When you’re a webtoon producer, you simply just don’t have time to do anything else but work, eat, and sleep (ordered in the list of priority). Romance is simply not on the table.
But what if you could save yourself the hassle of meeting someone new, going on dates, and getting your heart broken before you start the process all over again, with a virtual dating subscription service? Boyfriend on Demand follows a webtoon producer named Seo Mi Rae who subscribes to a virtual dating reality service to experience her dream date. Her dream boyfriend comprises of guys played by Seo Kang Jun, Lee Soohyuk, Kim Youngdae and Lee Jaewook in a variety of different settings.

Jisoo plays Seo Mi Rae, while Seo In-guk plays Park Kyeong-name, her coworker. The series will also star Yoo In-na.
Kim Jungsik (No Gain No Love) will direct the series and Namgung Do-young will write the script. WhyNot Media, Baram Pictures, and Kakao Entertainment will produce the Netflix show.
Although Jisoo is more widely known as one of the four members of the popular K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK, she’s made a name for herself in the acting industry. Her first starring role was in 2021 with the Disney+ drama Snowdrop where she portrayed Eun Young-ro. A few years later, she starred in the zombie comedy series Newtopia where she played Kang Young-joo. That same year, she played Lee Ji-hye in the film adaptation of the webnovel Omniscient Reader which was renamed to Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy. The actor won “Outstanding Korean Actress” and “Outstanding Asian Star (South Korea” at the Seoul International Awards for Snowdrop and Newtopia, respectively.
Boyfriend on Demand premieres on Netflix on March 6.
