BLACKPINK’s Lisa is going to star in a new rom-com.
As per Deadline, Lisa will be teaming up with The White Lotus‘s executive producer David Bernad for a new Netflix romantic comedy. While information about the synopsis was not revealed, the two apparently bonded over their shared love for Notting Hill. Katie Silberman (Set it Up) will pen the script with Bernad producing through Middle Child Productions. Lisa and Alice Kang will executive produce.
Lisa made her film debut in Season 3 of White Lotus as Thidapon “Mook” Sornsin and is currently working on Tygo, a spin-off film in the Extraction franchise. The BLACKPINK member is furthering her film credits with a documentary, made in production from Sony Music Vision, announced.
A member of the highly popular and beloved four-member K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK, Lisa made her solo debut with Lalisa where her lead single became the most-viewed video by a soloist in 24 hours. She made history when she became the first K-Pop solo artist to win an MTV VMA for “Lalisa.” She released her debut studio album Alter Ego in February 2025 where “Rockstar” won Best K-Pop at the MTV VMA.
More information about the untitled rom-com will be announced at a later date.
