The official social media account for Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian has announced the anime will not premiere in April as previously announced and will now release in July. “The entire staff will do our utmost to make this production a success,” the notice reads. “We highly appreciate your continuous support.” No other information was given for the delay.

Doga Kobo will produce the series. Risa Wakabayashi joins the anime as art director; Yuka Ito will handle the color setting, and Seiichi Sugiura will be the director of photography. Yoshiko Kimura (MADBOX) is the editor. Takeshi Takadera joins as the sound director, while Hiroaki Tsutsumi is in charge of music. Ryota Ito will direct and act as the series composer with Yuhei Murota as the character designer and chief animation director.

As for the cast, Maki Kawase will portray Chisaki Sarashina, Kaito Ishikawa will play Touya Kenzaki, Ikumi Hasegawa will bring Sayaka Taniyama to life, and Yoshino Aoyama joins the cast as Nonoa Miyamae. In addition, Kodai Sakai joins as Takeshi Maruyama and Taichi Ichikawa will portray Hikaru Kiyomiya.

Adapted from the light novel series by Sunsunsun and Momoco, Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian follows the relationship between Masachika Kuze and Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou where Alisa often flirts with Masachika in Russian, not realizing that the boy can understanding every single word because of his grandfather’s passion for Russia.

Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian premieres in July.
