See You in My 19th Life Announces June Premiere for K-Drama Adaptation
The highly-anticipated live-action adaptation of the webcomic series See You in My 19th Life will premiere sometime in June.
Fans won’t have to live 19 lives before they get to watch the See You in My 19th Life live-action adaptation. In fact, they just have to wait a few short months.
The official Twitter account for tvN (@/CJnDrama) has dropped some behind-the-scenes snippets of See You in My 19th Life. Aside from the sneak peek into the various set designs such as one in historical times, interviews with the cast members and webcomic creator Lee Hey were also conducted. The series will have 12 episodes and premiere in June.
Shin Hye-sun will portray protagonist Ban Jieum, otherwise known as Yoon Joowon in her previous life. Park So-yi will portray the younger version of Jieum while Kim Si-a will play the younger version of Yoon Woo-won. Ahn Bo-hyun will play opposite of Shin as Moon Seoha with Jung Hyeon-jun portraying his younger counterpart. Ha Yoon-kyung will play Jieum’s younger sister Yoon Chowon with Ki So-yoo as the younger version of Chowon. Ahn Dong-goo will play Ha Doyoon, Seoha’s best friend.
Lee Hey’s webcomic See You in My 19th Life is a fantasy-romance story about Yoon Joowon, a young girl who has lived 17th lives already. With her ability to reincarnate into the next life, Joowon also remembers everything that happened in her previous lives. When she meets Moon Seoha in her 18th life, the young boy suddenly strikes in her a strong desire to live. Unfortunately, her life is cut short and she’s reborn in her 19th life as Ban Jieum and she is determined to find Seoha again.
See You in My 19th Life is available to read on WEBTOON. The live-action adaptation premieres in June 2023 and will be available to stream on Netflix.
