A Sign of Affection Announces English Dub Cast and Premiere
The English dub of A Sign of Affection debuts on Jan. 20.
A Sign of Affection will premiere once again — for its English dub.
As announced by Crunchyroll, A Sign of Affection will air its English dub on Jan. 20. Lara Woodhull will portray Yuki with Reagan Murdock voicing opposite as Itsuomi. Rebecca Danae will voice Rin, Ethan Gallardo as Shin, and Kamen Casey as Kyouya. Nazeeh Tarsha will portray Oushi, Irwin Daye will voice Batayan, and Seth Fuentes will voice Mitoki. Jason Lord will oversee the dub as the voice director with Susie Nixon as the producer and Leah Clark writing the adaptation.
Previously, A Sign of Affection announced that Sumire Morohoshi (Bungo Stray Dogs and Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation II) will voice Yuki and Yū Miyazaki (Star Wars: Visions and I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss) will portray Itsuomi.Takeo Ōtsuka (Oshi no Ko) will voice Ōshi Ashioki. Ryota Ohsaka (Attack on Titan) will voice Kyōya Nagi. Kaede Hondo (Mission: Yozakura Family) will voice Rin Fujishiro.
The anime adaptation will be helmed by the animation studio Ajia-do which has worked on Ascendance of a Bookworm. Yūta Murano will direct and oversee the storyboards. Yoko Yonaiyama will write the series script. Kasumi Sakai will design the characters while Yukari Hashimoto will compose the music for the series.
A Sign of Affection, written and illustrated by the creative duo suu Morishita, began serialization in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in July 2019 and has nine tankōbon volumes as of July 2023. The story follows college student Yuki whose world has always been silent. When she meets a well-travelled Itsuomi on a chance encounter when they’re both on the train, the two’s worlds begin expanding. Itsuomi helps her out at school and, through their interactions, Yuki starts falling in love with Itsuomi.
A Sign of Affection premiered on Jan. 6. The manga is available to read on K MANGA.
