Spy x Family’s Mangaka Belatedly Celebrates the New Year

Spy x Family‘s mangaka Tatsuya Endo shared a belated New Year’s greeting to his X account featuring a new illustration of Anya and Bond.

The very waku waku artwork showcases Anya holding a pellet drum while riding on Bond’s back. Endo depicts Bond as a Shenlong-like dragon in celebration of the Year of the Dragon. (Although the Year of the Dragon doesn’t officially begin until the new Lunar New Year on Feb. 10.) The message accompanying the drawing sees Endo wishing fans a peaceful Happy New Year.

Spy x Family has gone from strength to strength since its debut. Most recently, its feature film Code White hit number one at Japan’s box office. Additionally, a subtitled version of the movie will premiere in participating theaters across America.
