Cherry Magic! Pops Anime Cherry in January 2024

BL anime series Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! premieres on Jan. 10, 2024.

To celebrate the announcement, the official social media account for Cherry Magic! also unveiled a new key visual. The new artwork features Kiyoshi Adachi walking with Yuichi Kurosawa under a canopy of sakura blossoms. Both of their faces have a light dusting of pink across their cheeks as they sneak glances at the other. Behind them is Masato Tsuge who appears deeply engrossed in his book while Minato Wataya rushes to deliver some packages.

The story follows 30-year-old virgin Kiyoshi Adachi who suddenly develops the ability to read people’s minds when he touches them. When he touches his coworker Yuichi Kurosawa, he is stunned to see that Kurosawa has been in love with him and harbours some rather explicit fantasies of him. The anime adaptation will be heralded by Satelight with Yoshiko Okuda as the director. Takahiro Kishida will design the characters while Tomoko Konparu will oversee the series scripts. Tomoki Hasegawa will compose the music for the anime. Chiaki Kobayashi voices Adachi while Ryōta Suzuki portrays Kurosawa. Makoto Furukawa will voice Masato while Gen Santo voices Minato.

In addition to the anime adaptation, Cherry Magic! has also released a live-action television series in October 2020 with Eiji Akaso as Adachi and Keita Machida as Kurosawa. A direct sequel film released in April 2022 with the cast returning to reprise their roles. A Thai adaptation will also be released.

Cherry Magic! premieres on Jan. 10, 2024. A streaming platform has not yet been announced as of this article’s publishing.
