Sweet Home Season 2 Wreaks Havoc With Bloody Trailer
Season 2 of Sweet Home streams exclusively on Netflix on Dec. 1.
Sweet Home Season 2 unleashes monsters and hell in a new trailer.
Netflix has released the ominous trailer for Season 2 of the hit live-action adaptation of Sweet Home. The trailer opens with a young man chained inside a cage. Blood seeping out of open wounds, he lifts up his head. A voice greets Cha Hyun-su and asks if he is the saviour who can end everything. When he asks what he needs to do, blood is poured all over his head. Chaos ensues as militaries fight back with people screaming and fires lit. Sweet Home ends with someone announcing the commencement of “the first experiment on MH-5.” Season 2 premieres on Dec. 1.
Based on a popular webtoon, written by Carnby Kim and illustrated by Youngchan Hwang, Sweet Home follows a young suicidal man named Cha Hyun-su who moves into an apartment complex after his family dies in a tragic car accident. He discovers everyone who lives in the apartment complex are actually trapped and hiding from the monsters outside. Cha Hyun-su embraces and merges with the monster within him and he joins forces with the other tenants to fight against the monsters.
Season 1 stars Song Kang as Cha Hyun-su, Lee Jin-took as Pyeon Sang-wook and Lee Si-young as Seo Yi-kyung. Go Min-si portrays Lee Eun-yoo and Park Gnu-young as Yoon Ji-soo. They will all return for Season 2. New characters will include Sergeant Tak In-hwan, portrayed by Yu Oh-seong and Dr. Lim, played by Oh Jung-se.
Season 1 aired on Dec. 18, 2020 with 10 episodes and became the first South Korean series to enter Netflix’s Top 10 in the U.S. During its first four weeks of its release, more than 22 million subscribers watched Sweet Home.
Season 2 of Sweet Home streams exclusively on Netflix on Dec. 1. The series is available on WEBTOON.
