Crossed Hearts has licensed the paranormal romance Starting From Spring.
The publisher has dropped the news that they will be licensing Starting From Spring, a manhua that features a high schooler and a werewolf. It is unclear if this will be a new translation or feature the same translation that’s already found in WebComics’ version. Information such as preorders and release date was not revealed at the time of this article’s writing.
Written and illustrated by Hanxu, the synopsis for Starting From Spring is as follows:
Introverted high schooler Xu Ting is used to spending her days alone. With few friends and little affection waiting for her at home, she has learned to keep her head down, even when her classmates mistake her quiet nature for an invitation to torment her.
When a prank nearly turns into an accident, a handsome temporary repairman at her school steps in to save her. Xu ting barely has time to thank him before an after-school errand leads her into the woods, where she finds a bloodied body and discovers the secret he has been hiding. Her mysterious rescuer is a werewolf, and the warning he gives her makes one thing clear: if she speaks of what she saw, he will kill her.
Yet the more their paths cross, the harder it becomes for Xu Ting to reconcile the man who protected her with the creature she should fear. As danger draws them together, she must decide where trusting him will give her the connection she has always longed for or cost her everything.
