Under the Oak Tree Returns with Season 3 in July
Is Maxi and Riftan’s relationship in danger now that Princess Agnes has come to visit? Fans will find out when Under the Oak Tree returns on July 21.
One of the most popular romance series on Manta Comics is making its grand return in July.
As detailed on CBR, Under the Oak Tree will return on July 21 with Season 3. Fans of Under the Oak Tree can expect “even more drama and adventure in the new season.” The series debuted on Manta Comics on Jan. 29, 2021 with the first season ending on Aug. 10, 2021. The series took a short four-month break before resuming with Season 2 on Dec. 23, 2021 and ran until February 19, 2023. To tide fans over until Season 3, Under the Oak Tree released a series of mini episodes which concluded on April 10.
Season 2 ended with Princess Agnes, the woman Riftan was originally betrothed to, visiting Anatol. While Maxi had progressed extraordinarily fast in terms of her abilities as the lady of the house, her magical prowess and her self-confidence, the latter flagged a little at seeing Agnes who exudes a level of self-assurance that Maxi still has yet to achieve. Although it had appeared as though Agnes may act as a potential romantic rival to Maxi, a preview of Season 3 has indicated otherwise. Agnes instantly warms up to Maxi and wants to be friends with her, although this only confuses Maxi even more.
Originally a web novel by Kim Suji, the novel received a webcomic adaptation with illustrations by P. Under the Oak Tree follows a stuttering young woman named Maximilian Croyso who is forcefully married off to Riftan Calypse. On their wedding night, Riftan disappears without a word for three years, and when he returns, she’s confused by the overwhelming amount of love he displays for her. Due to her traumatic childhood, Maxi can hardly believe that she can ever be loved but slowly realizes that she does not always have to be trapped in her fear.
Under the Oak Tree is available to read on Manta Comics. Season 3 premieres on July 21.
