Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead will finally conclude in December, giving the perfect Christmas gift to fans.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead has suffered a number of scheduling setbacks with Episode 9 “Treehouse of the Dead” being the last episode the anime released, all the way back in September. The series went on an indefinite hiatus afterwards. The conclusion of Season 1 will take place on Dec. 25 for a “grand finale,” where Episodes 10 to 12 will air.

Zom 100, produced and animated by Bugs Films, saw a number of delays in its streaming schedule starting after Episode 4. Episode 5, which was supposed to premiere on Aug. 5, was delayed until the 13th with the anime airing a special in its place. Episode 6 was delayed a week due to production issues. Episode 8 was delayed a week as well. Episode 9 launched on Sept. 24 before going on a hiatus, although without an explanation.

Haro Aso’s Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead began serialization in Monthly Sunday Gene-X in October 2018 and has earned an Eisner Award nomination in the Best U.S. Edition of International Material — Asia. The story follows 24-year-old Akira Tendo who finds little joy in his office cubicle. When a zombie apocalypse strikes, it lights a fire under him to do all the things he wants to do before he dies, thereby giving birth to his bucket list.

Aside from the anime adaptation, Zom 100 also inspired a live-action adaptation with Yusuke Ishida as the director. Tatsuro Mishima wrote the screenplay with Akira Morii as the producer. Morii worked in collaboration with ROBOT and Plus One Entertainment. The live-action premiered on Aug. 3, 2023.

Episodes 10 through 12 of Zom 100 launches on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix on Dec. 25.
