Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii will receive an anime adaptation.
The announcement comes from the cover of the Monthly Afternoon issue. Splashed across the cover is Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii‘s Yoshino Somei being lifted on the shoulders of Kirishima Miyama. Yoshino shows off her engagement ring, tears streaming down her face in happiness at the anime adaptation announcement. Little information has been revealed on the anime adaptation, including details on the animation studio, casting, nor staff details, as of this article’s publishing.
Written and illustrated by Asuka Konishi, Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii began serialization in August 2017. The story follows high schooler Yoshino Somei who was born and raised in a yakuza family. Despite her family circumstances, most of her days have been quiet and peaceful–that is until her grandfather has arranged for her to be married to the son of another yakuza family, Kirishima Miyama.
No release window has been announced yet for Yakuza Fiancé. Seven Seas is publishing the manga in a physical print with Vol. 5 set to release on Oct. 24, 2023.
