Tower of God Season 2 Delivers Hard-Hitting Teaser

Tower of God has released a sneak peek at Season 2 which premieres in July 2024.

Tower of God is getting ready for an action-packed Season 2.

At IGN Fan Fest 2024, a special short animation preview was revealed following Taichi Ishikawa’s, the voice of Bam, greeting. Season 2 will take place six years following the events of the first season and begins with Ja Wangnan taking the test once more. Ishikawa will voice Jyu Viole Grace, a mysterious character introduced at the conclusion of Season 1. Fans praised the animation for sticking close to the artwork of the original webtoon.

Based on the original webtoon written and illustrated by S.I.U., Tower of God inspired an anime adaptation on April 1, 2020. Animated and produced by Telecom Animation Film, the first season aired for 13 episodes, concluding on June 24, 2020 with a cliffhanger. The series announced a second season in August 2022 but had virtually remained silent despite Season 1 receiving positive reception. The character designer and chief animation director, Tanino Miho, dropped a rough sketch of the characters with a simple caption of “want to see season 2…,” sparking fans to join in the cry for the second season.

Tower of God features a boy named Twenty-Fifth Bam who has lived his whole life trapped beneath an enormous Tower with his friend Rachel. One day, Rachel decides to climb the Tower to see the stars, abandoning Bam. Bam follows suit, in the hopes that he reunites with Rachel but before he can do that, he’ll have to climb each floor and fight off the foes he sees there. The webtoon previously took a hiatus in August 2022 for more than six months before returning in March 2023 with Season 3.

Season 2 of Tower of God streams on Crunchyroll in July 2024. Season 1 is available to stream.
