To Your Eternity Thrusts Fushi Into “This World” for Season 3
Fushi’s journey continues in a third season for To Your Eternity, following the end of Season 2.
To Your Eternity has announced a third season.
At the end of Season 2’s last episode, To Your Eternity revealed Season 3 has received the green light. Season 3 will adapt the “This World” arc and released a new key visual, featuring a stunned Fushi clutching a drink with a straw. The announcement did not reveal a projected premiere window as of this article’s writing.
Following the successful release of A Silent Voice, Yoshitoki Ōima wrote To Your Eternity, a fantasy series about an orb who has the ability to take on the shape and form of objects and deceased beings. After turning into the wolf Joaan, the orb meets a lonely nameless boy who hopes to reunite with his family. Tragedy strikes and the boy dies after leaving Joaan with his dream of seeing the world. After taking on the boy’s form, the orb, now known as Fushi, travels around and meets new people, and what was once an emotionless entity now learns how to be human. The manga previously went on hiatus in October 2022 before continuing with its final arc, entitled “Future” in January 2023.
Produced by Brain’s Base, Season 1 of the anime adaptation received positive reception for its powerful storytelling and moving soundtrack. The first season aired for 20 episodes in April 2021. Season 2 moved to Drive (Romantic Killer and Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!) with Kiyoko Sayama replacing Masahiko Murata. Season 2 premiered in October 2022 and concluded with 20 episodes.
The first two seasons of To Your Eternity are available to watch on Crunchyroll.
