Spy x Family’s Anya Belts Out Song in New Musical Illustration

Anya serenades Spy x Family fans in a new illustration, celebrating the Spy x Family musical.

Uploaded by the official Spy x Family musical Twitter page, Tatsuya Endo, the mangaka of the popular action-comedy manga series, has Anya decked out in a beautiful red dress. Replacing her usual black horns are little white buns. Frills adorn her wrists and parasol. Set on top of her pink hair is an enormous wide-brimmed hat. The decorations could possibly foreshadow of events to come in the manga: Anya has a large Stella star pinned above a black-and-white striped bow with five smaller Stella stars and two Tonitrus bolts scattered on a bed of flowers. As a testament to Endo’s attention to detail, the title has been drawn with musical symbols such as sixteenth notes, double bar lines, eighth rest and the treble clef.

The Spy x Family musical stars a Stella-r cast with four Anyas played by Miharu Fukuchi, Risa Masuda, Aoi Ikemura and Miharu Izawa. Win Morisaki and Hiroki Suzuki will alternate playing Loid Forger, the father of the Forger family, and Fuka Yuzuki and Mirei Sasaki portrays Yor Forger, the shy but extremely strong mother moonlighting as an assassin.

Musical Spy x Family opens in Tokyo on March 8.
