Seven Seas Entertainment has announced the acquisition of the official English license of Sa Ye.

The publisher unveiled the announcement on Nov. 13, much to many fans’ delight. Titled Run Wild: Sa Ye, the modern-day danmei novel, written by Wu Zhe, will release sometime in early 2025. The two translators attached to the project are amixy and Nande M. The series will feature exclusive new art and priced at $19.99 USD or $25.99 CAD.

Run Wild: Sa Ye follows two young men who are stuck in a run-down city. Jiang Cheng finds himself there after his adoptive parents decide they don’t want him in their home anymore. Already making plans to get out as soon as possible, Jiang Cheng’s plans get slightly derailed when he meets a peculiar young girl named Gu Miao and her brother Gu Fei, a delinquent with a music staff shaved into his hair and who seems to get up to no good. Despite being from two very different parts of the albeit desolate world, Jiang Cheng and Gu Wei find themselves gravitating towards each other.

Run Wild: Sa Ye has inspired an unreleased live-action adaptation, an unreleased donghua adaptation, and a currently-serializing manhua adaptation which is available to read on Tappytoon. The first volume of the novel releases in early 2025.
