Ranking of Kings Announces New Anime Film
A new anime film has been announced for Ranking of Kings.
Ranking of Kings has announced it will produce a new animated film.
As per the official Twitter account for Ranking of Kings, the series has announced a “completely new” movie. The announcement follows the release of Episode 11 of The Treasure Chest of Courage, the adaptation of the manga’s side story. There has been no information on a director, synopsis or release date yet as of this article’s publication.
Written and illustrated by Sōsuke Tōka, Ranking of Kings has been serialized online through the Manga Hack website since May 2017. The series follows a tiny prince named Bojji who dreams becoming the greatest of kings despite his small size and his deafness. He meets and befriends Kage, the lone survivor of his assassin clan which has been wiped out, and the two embark on a series of adventures.
The manga received an anime adaptation, courtesy of Wit Studio, in October 2021 and has garnered a considerable amount of positive reception for its disability representation and heartwarming story. The side story The Treasure Chest of Courage began airing in April 2023.
