Popular BL Series Under the Greenlight Announces S2 Return Date

Under the Greenlight is coming back in a few days.

The BL manhwa series Under the Greenlight has announced the official premiere date for Season 2. Titled “In Dreams,” the second season of Under the Greenlight will release on Sept. 5 on Ridibooks. There is no announcement for the English release of Season 2 as of this article’s publication.

Creator Jaxx released a dramatic teaser image to celebrate the announcement. Matthew and Jin are both standing in a body of water with the city’s landscape seen in the background. Matthew embraces Jin tightly, both arms wrapped around his torso and his face pressed to his. Jin has his eyes closed, although it’s unclear whether he’s sleeping or unconscious.

Written and illustrated by Jaxx (Walk on Water), Under the Greenlight takes readers into the deep underbelly of the crime underworld. The story follows Matthew, a sculpture student prodigy, who meets Jin, a high-ranking criminal. Despite all the darkness roiling underneath Jin’s cold exterior, Matthew sees only his beauty and asks Jin to be his model. What Matthew doesn’t anticipate is that as he falls deeper and deeper in love with Jin, he inevitably falls deeper and deeper into the world of gangs, crime, and violence.

The first season released on English platforms on May 22, 2021 and concluded with 37 episodes on March 22, 2022. Season 1 of Under the Greenlight is available to read on Tapas.
