Oshi no Ko starts with gynaecologist Gorou Amamiya helping to deliver the twin babies of his favourite idol Ai Hoshino. On the night she was to give birth, a mysterious man killed Gorou. The next time he woke up, he discovered he had reincarnated into one of Ai’s twins named Aquamarine. Aqua doesn’t realize that his twin sister Ruby is also the reincarnation of someone he knows from his first life: Sarina Tendōji, a terminally ill patient he treated before she died. Aqua and Ruby’s lives seem content until the same man who killed Gorou returns and kills Ai. Aqua throws himself into acting with the goal of finding out who the killer and his father is while Ruby chases her dreams of becoming an idol.
