Oshi no Ko Announces Season 2
Fear not, this isn’t a lie. Oshi no Ko will continue with Season 2.
Oshi no Ko‘s Aqua and Ruby’s stories will continue in Season 2.
Following the end of Season 1, Oshi no Ko has announced the hit series will receive a second season. An announcement video released to celebrate the continuation, featuring key scenes from the first season including Aqua’s descent into revenge after Ai’s death and B-Komachi’s revival. A new key visual has also released, looking similar to the key visual from the first season but with a few key differences: Aqua is no longer smiling and his star eyes have been blacked out, Kana and Akane appear to be practicing their lines while MEM-cho is in her idol outfit and Ai has ditched her idol clothes in favour of the clothes she wore when she was just Aqua and Ruby’s mother.
One of the most popular anime to air this season, Oshi no Ko, written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, premiered on April 12, 2023 and concluded with 11 episodes. Produced by Doga Kobo, the beginning of Oshi no Ko starts with gynaecologist Gorou Amamiya helping to deliver the twin babies of his favourite idol Ai Hoshino. On the night she was to give birth, a mysterious man killed Gorou. The next time he woke up, he discovered he had reincarnated into one of Ai’s twins named Aquamarine. Aqua doesn’t realize that his twin sister Ruby is also the reincarnation of someone he knows from his first life: Sarina Tendōji, a terminally ill patient he treated before she died. Aqua and Ruby’s lives seem content until the same man who killed Gorou returns and kills Ai. Aqua throws himself into acting with the goal of finding out who the killer and his father is while Ruby chases her dreams of becoming an idol.
No premiere date for Season 2 of Oshi no Ko has been announced as of this article’s publication. Season 1 is available to watch on HIDIVE.
