Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint Confirm Cast for Live-Action Film Adaptation
The live-action film adaptation of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint has begun filming with Lee Minho and Ahn Hyoseop starring as Yoo Joonghyuk and Kim Dokja.
The cast for the live-action film adaptation of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint has been solidified.
As per Soompi, the cast for the Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint film adaptation includes:
- Yoo Joonghyuk – Lee Minho
- Kim Dokja – Ahn Hyoseop
- Yoo Sangah – Chae Soobin
- Lee Hyunsung – Shin Seungho
- Jung Heewon – Nana
- Gong Pildoo – Park Ho San
- Han Myungoh – Choi Youngjoon
- Lee Jihye – Jisoo
The adaptation began filming in December although no premiere window has been announced as of this article’s publishing.
Produced by Realies Pictures, who previously produced Along with the Gods series, Kim Byun Woo, who directed The Terror Live, will direct the film adaptation. Previously, Naver had reported in October 2020, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint will receive five movie adaptations, five drama seasons and numerous animation projects. An anime adaptation is reportedly in production.
Based on a novel written by singNsong, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint follows Kim Dokja who is the only reader who has stuck with the novel Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse for 10 years. When he reaches the ending, Kim Dokja receives a mysterious message from the author. Suddenly, the novel becomes a reality and he must now harness his knowledge of the book to navigate the events and survive. He teams up with the novel’s protagonist Yoo Joonghyuk in the hopes the two may be able to change the original novel’s plot.
