An anime adaptation of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint has allegedly begun production.

As reported by Sugoi LITE, an anime adaptation of the highly popular and acclaimed novel and webcomic series Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is reportedly in production. Information around the studio, production staff, and voice actors have not been released as of this article’s publishing.

A live-action adaptation of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint has been announced with offers made to Ahn Hyoseop, Lee Minho, BLACKPINK’s Kim Jisoo, Nana, Chae Soobin, and Shin Seungho to play Kim Dokja, Yoo Joonghyuk, Lee Jihye, Jung Heewon, Yoo Sangah, and Lee Hyunsung. Jung Sungil was also offered an unspecified role in the movie. The live-action would be produced by Realies Pictures who previously produced Along with the Gods series. Kim Byun Woo, who directed The Terror Live, will direct the film adaptation. Previously, Naver had reported in October 2020, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint will receive five movie adaptations, five drama seasons and numerous animation projects. It is unclear whether that is still the case.

Based on a novel written by singNsong, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint follows Kim Dokja who is the only reader who has stuck with the novel Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse for 10 years. When he reaches the ending, Kim Dokja receives a mysterious message from the author. Suddenly, the novel becomes a reality and he must now harness his knowledge of the book to navigate the events and survive. He teams up with the novel’s protagonist Yoo Joonghyuk in the hopes the two may be able to change the original novel’s plot.

Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is currently ongoing and available to read on WEBTOON.
