Due to quality concerns, Naruto‘s highly anticipated 20th-anniversary anime reboot will no longer premiere in September.
AnimeTV posted on its Twitter/X account revealing that the anime was postponed to “increase the quality.” According to the report, four new episodes were set to premiere for four weeks beginning Sept. 3. There is no further information regarding the delay, and no new broadcast date was announced.
The 20th-anniversary Naruto anime was announced back in July after a very successful anniversary celebration last year, which saw the series reanimate some of its most iconic moments and drop merch collaborations with iconic brands such as Secretlab.
