My Hero Academia, Black Clover and Jujutsu Kaisen will take a break from Weekly Shonen Jump on May 28.

Weekly Shōnen Jump will look a little emptier next week with three popular series taking a break.

As per Shōnen Jump News (@/WSJ_manga), My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen and Black Clover will all take an unexpected hiatus on May 28. While the latter two have not stated a reason for the break, My Hero Academia has stated it is due to production reasons. All three series will release their next chapters on June 4.

Black Clover, written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata, began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump in February 2015. The story follows orphan Asta who possesses no magical powers but despite this disadvantage, he aims to become the next Wizard King. Black Clover began its final arc on Aug. 1, 2022.

Created by Kōhei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia is one of the most popular manga series of all time and began serialization in July 2014. Set in a world of superheroes, Izuki Midoriya is one of the few who do not possess a superpower known as a Quirk. When his idol All Might passes his Quirk One for All to him, his life changes irrevocably. My Hero Academia is currently in its “Final War” arc.

Written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen joins My Hero Academia as one of the best-selling manga series of all time. The series began serialization in March 2018. Jujutsu Kaisen follows Yuji Itadori who, after swallowing the rotten finger of the King of Curses, must find and consume the rest of Sukuna’s fingers in the hopes this may finally rid the world of Sukuna. Jujutsu Kaisen is currently in the “Shinjuku Showdown” arc.

All three series are available to read on Viz Media and will resume serialization on June 4.
