Manta Comics Reveals Elegant Under the Oak Tree Comic Book Cover

Under the Oak Tree fans, feast your eyes on this beautiful cover.

Inklore, the manga/manhwa imprint of Penguin Random House, has revealed the cover of the physical version of the Under the Oak Tree manhwa. The cover uses gold ink to illustrate the eponymous oak tree with Maxi and Riftan displayed front and center. Maxi is looking down and away from Riftan yet her hand is stretched out to her husband while Riftan gazes at her, yearning written all over his face. The first volume collects the first 24 episodes of the webcomic. The physical version will also contain new art from the manhwa artist P.

Written by Kim Suji with art by P, the Under the Oak Tree novel follows Maximilian Croyso who has been forced into a marriage with Lord of Anatol Riftan Calypse by her father. Maxi has difficulty communicating due to her anxiety and stuttering, contributing to her lack of confidence. Her wedding night with Riftan ends abruptly when the commander leaves the next morning and does not return until three years have passed. The story follows the development and growth of their relationship and Maxi slowly gaining some of her confidence back as she settles into her new life as the Lady of Anatol.

Under the Oak Tree released the first season on Jan. 29, 2021 with 34 chapters. Season 2 began on Dec. 23, 2021 and concluded at Episode 63. During the hiatus between the second and third season, Under the Oak Tree released a series of mini episodes with chibi versions of the characters for 18 episodes. Season 3 premiered on July 22, 2023 and concluded on Feb. 17, 2024 with a total of 95 episodes. Under the Oak Tree remains as one of Manta Comics’ top romance series on its platform.

For those who can’t wait, Under the Oak Tree is available to read on Manta Comics with three complete seasons. The comic book releases on Sept. 3, 2024 while the webnovel comes out on Nov. 12, 2024.
