The cover of the print version of Under the Oak Tree is here!

We may or may not have collapsed to our knees when we saw Maxi on the cover of Under the Oak Tree.

Manta Comics and Inklore, Penguin Random House’s webcomics imprint, has given fans a sneak peek at the cover of the physical print of Suji Kim’s Under the Oak Tree webcomic. Illustrated by @/Yuumei_Art, the cover features Maxi, her fiery scarlet hair looking like fire. Textured leaves decorate the edge, creating an air of mystique around her. Wearing a golden dress with sheer sleeves, Maxi is positively glowing.

Written by Kim Suji, the Under the Oak Tree novel follows Maximilian Croyso who has been forced into a marriage with Lord of Anatol Riftan Calypse by her father. Maxi has difficulty communicating due to her anxiety and stuttering, contributing to her lack of confidence. Her wedding night with Riftan ends abruptly when the commander leaves the next morning and does not return until three years have passed. The story follows the development and growth of their relationship and Maxi slowly gaining some of her confidence back as she settles into her new life as the Lady of Anatol.

Under the Oak Tree is available to read digitally on Manta Comics through the novel and webcomic versions. Season 3 of the webcomic released on July 21.

The novel will be available in hardcover in the fall 2024 through the Inklore imprint.
