Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Unleashes Thrilling Trailer with Opening Song
The second PV for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has dropped and includes the opening song “Ao no Sumika.”
Jujutsu Kaisen has dropped a new trailer, showcasing the opening song for the highly-anticipated second season.
At the MAPPA Stage 2023, the cast of Jujutsu Kaisen gathered to discuss the upcoming season. The Jujutsu Kaisen stage also revealed a new trailer where fans can hear the opening song Tatsuya Kitani’s “Ao no Sumika,” which translates to “Blue House.” In the PV, fans will see Gojo go up against Toji Fushiguro, Megumi’s father, and include a brief shot of him initiating his Cursed Technique Reversal: Red.
At the event, Jujutsu Kaisen also revealed the character visuals for the second half of the season which covers the “Shibuya Incident” arc.
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen will adapt the “Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu” and “Shibuya Incident” arcs. Fans will get to see a younger version of Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru during their first few years as students at Tokyo Jujutsu High. The season will explore their friendship as well as their eventual falling out.
Based on Gege Akutami’s manga, MAPPA produced the anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen. Season 1 aired under the direction of Sunghoo Park in October 2020. Park returned to direct the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 which premiered in December 2021 which received positive acclaim and became a financial success and earned over 13.75 billion yen during its time in Japanese theatres.
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen launches on July 6.
