Jujutsu Kaisen will go on a short hiatus.

As revealed by Shonen Jump News, Gege Akutami’s popular manga series Jujutsu Kaisen will take a one-week break. The manga will release Chapter 235 on Sept. 10. Chapter 236 will release on Sept. 24.

One of the most popular and best-selling manga series in the world, Jujutsu Kaisen began serializing in Weekly Shōnen Jump in March 2018 and currently has 80 million copies in circulation. Jujutsu Kaisen is currently in, what might be, its final few arcs. The current arc focuses on the great battle between Gojo, the greatest sorcerer in the world, and Sukuna, the most evil curse in the world.

Animated and produced by MAPPA, the anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen launched its first season in October 2020 with Sunghoo Park directing. Park went on to direct the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The second season aired on July 6, beginning with the “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” arc with Shōta Goshozono replacing Park as the director. The “Shibuya Incident” arc began on Aug. 31 and will run for 18 episodes.

Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read on Viz Media and Manga Plus. Chapter 236 releases on Sept. 24.
