Ize Press Licenses See You In My 19th Life, Unholy Blood and More

Ize Press, the imprint for publishing Korean webcomics and novels, has announced an exciting slate of upcoming English licenses.

At Sakura Con 2023, Ize Press announced a total of five manhwa licenses:

• Your Letter
• Overgeared
• Jungle Juice
• See You In My 19th Life
• Unholy Blood

Your Letter

Written by Cho Hyeona, Your Letter revolves around a girl named Sori who, after standing up for her friend, became the bullies’ target. She transfers schools, hoping to start a new life, and finds a letter taped to the bottom of her desk. In there, she finds instructions that lead her on a magical scavenger hunt where she learns how to open her heart up again.

Overgeared

Originally created by Saenal and later adapted by REDICE Studio’s Monohumbug, Overgeared follows a young man named Youngwoo who doesn’t have much ambition in life. Even in the VR game “Satisfy,” he doesn’t have much luck, until he finds a powerful item that grants him a rare legendary class title that turns him into a skilled blacksmith. While he enjoys all of the benefits that his new title gives him, it also draws unwanted attention.

Jungle Juice

One of the stories in the YLAB universe, Jungle Juice is written by Hyeong Eun with art by Juder. The series follows a popular student named Jang Suchan who has a secret: he has insect wings as a result of using a bug spray called “Jungle Juice.” When he saves his crush, he accidentally exposes his wings, and himself. In the process, he discovers a hidden world where people like him can live in peace but things get more complicated when he finds himself at the bottom of the food chain.

See You in My 19th Life

Written and illustrated by Lee Hey, See You in My 19th Life features a rather unusual girl named Ban Jieum. Despite being a child, Jieum seems to have lived many lives — eighteen in fact. Jieum has a special ability: if she dies, she’ll come back with all of the memories from her previous lives still intact. As a result, Jieum hasn’t formed much of a lasting attachment to anyone. When she meets a young boy named Moon Seoha, she discovers, perhaps there is meaning to her life. Her 18th life gets cut short and when she reborns into her 19th, she is determined to find Seoha once more.

Created by Lina Im, Unholy Blood is set in a world where vampires roam. Pure-blood vampire Park Hayan wants to live a normal life but the rise of half-bloods have robbed her of that chance. She teams up with a police captain named Hwang Euntae to wipe out the vampires. The popular fantasy romance series has over 124 million views on the digital platform.
