Heaven Official’s Blessing Birthday Video Showcases Hua Cheng’s Love for His Gege

The Heaven Official’s Blessing donghua account released a video on June 10 to celebrate Hua Cheng’s birthday. The video was especially exciting for fans as it unveiled new scenes from Season 2, featuring the gambler’s den, which was already shown in a previous trailer. Hua Cheng watches in amusement as Xie Lian, miraculously, rolls double six’s. The video transitions from Xie Lian behind the sheer red veil to Hua Cheng reaching out to a statue of his god, hidden behind a red screen. As soon as a silver butterfly lands on the statue’s outstretched fingers, it triggers a ripple effect, turning the background into flowers and nature. The video ends with Hua Cheng gazing adoringly at the statue, the hand, grasping the chisel, stroking the god’s cheek.
In the video, Hua Cheng muses inwardly, “For some people, the existence of a certain someone is hope in and of itself.” Out loud, he promises his loyalty to Xie Lian by saying, “Dianxia, I am your most devoted believer” and “Gege, can there be a god’s statue in the temple?”
Heaven Official’s Blessing is available to stream on Crunchyroll. Fans will have to wait a little longer to watch the gambler’s den scene when Season 2 returns.
