Finding Camellia will go on an indefinite hiatus.
Jin Soye, the author of the novel Finding Camellia posted a notice on her social media account with the notice that the webcomic adaptation of Finding Camellia would go on an indefinite hiatus. “From this week until the end of the discussion, Finding Camellia webtoon will be closed indefinitely. We will do our best to collaborate and communicate with you and return to a work that is different from the present and faithful to the original work.”
Finding Camellia debuted on Manta Comics on July 30, 2021 and currently has 89 episodes as of Sept. 15. The story follows a young girl named Camellia who is kidnapped by the lady of the Bale house. Forced to abandon her identity, Camellia dons a new name and identity as Camellius Bale. She must find some way to deal with her new life and the unwavering attention of Claude, the son of a duke, while also trying to reclaim her true identity. The webcomic has deviated from the original novel and seemingly rushing and changing things, including, most recently, the timing of Lia finding the truth behind her letters.
Although the author did not state when the comic would come back, Manta Comics has Sept. 30 as the projected return date. The novel, which is available on Manta Comics, will leave the platform on Oct. 4.
