It’s been almost three years since Doctor Elise finished but the webcomic has come back to life with side stories.

The webcomic artist Mini posted on their Instagram page a photo of them in the process of drawing Elise. Mini announced that Doctor Elise would release side stories on Jan. 9 (Jan. 10 internationally) to commemorate the premiere of the anime adaptation on Jan. 10. The artist did not reveal how many side stories it would have nor the plot. The side stories will be available to read on KakaoPage with no announcement of an English release, as of this article’s publishing.

Written by Yuin, Doctor Elise follows Song Jihyun, a prodigy doctor who, after dying in a plane accident, finds herself back in her first life as Elise de Clarence, much to her horror. Elise remembers how her first life ended and does not want to repeat the same thing. Harnessing the knowledge of 21st century medicine and resolving to dedicate her life to save those in need, Elise hopes to right the wrongs she committed in her first life. The novel’s serialization ran from December 2015 to April 2016 on KakaoPage before being adapted into a webcomic with illustrations by Mini in September 2017. The webcomic ran until February 2021. The English version concluded in June 2022.
