Call of the Night Season 2 to Stream Exclusively on HIDIVE This Summer
HIDIVE brings back the supernatural romance drama in July 2025, with an Anime Expo sneak peek event scheduled for July 5.

HIDIVE has officially announced that Call of the Night Season 2 will stream exclusively on its platform as part of its Summer 2025 simulcast lineup. The much-anticipated sequel to the fan-favorite supernatural romance is set to premiere in July, continuing the nocturnal adventures of Ko and Nazuna that first captivated audiences in 2022.
Based on Kotoyama’s award-winning manga, which recently concluded with its 200th chapter in January 2024, Call of the Night blends vampire lore, romantic tension, and existential introspection into a stylish, genre-bending story. The anime adaptation has earned critical acclaim for its moody visuals, lo-fi soundtrack, and distinct storytelling style, and Season 2 promises to deepen the emotional stakes.
In Season 2, Ko Yamori embraces his feelings for Nazuna Nanakusa and moves forward with his desire to become a vampire. Meanwhile, Nazuna attempts to make Ko fall in love with her—but neither truly understands what love means. Their relationship grows more complex as Detective Anko Uguisu closes in, determined to exterminate vampires, including Nazuna. With vampires vulnerable to emotional remnants of their human lives, the series hints at long-buried secrets that could reshape everything. What happened in Nazuna’s past? Why does Anko seek revenge? And what connects them?
The new season will be directed by Tomoyuki Itamura (Bakemonogatari) with scripts by Michiko Yokote and character designs by Haruka Sagawa. Produced by Liden Films, the returning voice cast includes Sora Amamiya (Nazuna), Gen Sato (Ko), and Yumiri Hanamori (Akira), among others.
