Bungo Stray Dogs will air Season 5 on July 12.

Revealed through a second promotional video, Bungo Stray Dogs has announced Season 5’s premiere date for July 12. The second PV opens with Kamui standing before the United Nations. The video then transitions to Dazai getting trapped in a strange glowing sphere, sitting across a very familiar face, Fyodor Dostoevsky. The trailer introduces one of the new villains Nikolai Gogol. GRANRODEO will perform the opening song “Kurogane no Ori,” translating to “Iron Cell.” Luck Life will perform the ending song “Kiseki,” translating to “Trails.”

Produced by Studio Bones, Bungo Stray Dogs premiered in April 2016 and finished its fourth season in March 2023. Yūto Uemura voices Atsushi Nakajima, Mamoru Miyano voices Osamu Dazai, Kensho Ono voices Ryūnosuke Akutagawa and Akira Ishida voices Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

Written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa, Bungo Stray Dogs revolves around the people hailing from the Armed Detective Agency, who possess supernatural powers and solve crimes. All the characters share names with famous writers. The manga hit 10 million copies in circulation in 2022.

The first four seasons of Bungo Stray Dogs are available on Crunchyroll. Season 5 premieres on July 12.
