A Good Day to Be a Dog Creator Hints at Next Project

It looks like Lee Hye is working on her next webcomic series which features a red-eyed young man.

The creator behind webtoon hits A Good Day to Be a Dog and See You in My 19th Life is getting ready for another big hit.

As shared by @/wateurnim, the A Good Day to Be a Dog creator Lee Hye has shared her drafts of a black-haired red-eyed young man. The young man is captured in the middle of catching someone in his arms. One of the possible visuals appears to be him with the other protagonist as they lie down together with their heads on opposite sides. No other information, such as title, has been released as of this article’s publishing.

A Good Day to Be a Dog is a fantasy romance webcomic that follows high school teacher Han Haena who has been cursed: all the women in her family will transform in a dog whenever they kiss someone. Haena has had success avoiding that for more than 20 years of her life until one drunken night when she kisses the math teacher Jin Seowon. It’s not all doom and gloom though: Haena can reverse the curse if she can get Seowon to kiss her again. Except the problem is that Seowon is deathly afraid of dogs. The webtoon has garnered over 110 million views.

See You in My 19th Life is a fantasy romance webcomic that follows Ban Jieum who has lived a total of 18 lives and has the power to remember everything that happened in those 18th lives. She meets Moon Seoha in her 18th life but it gets cut short when a car crash kills her. When she wakes up in her 19th life, she’s determined to reunite with Seoha once more. The webtoon has been viewed more than 93 million times.

Both of Lee Hye’s works have been adapted into live-action television series with A Good Day to Be a Dog wrapping up on Jan. 10, 2024 with 14 episodes. See You in My 19th Life aired from June 17 to July 23, 2023 with 12 episodes.
