Dangerous Convenience Store and A Morning Kiss at Tiffany’s Among Manta January 2023 Releases

Manta Comics has quite a number of exciting releases this January, including returning favourites like Season 3 of Dangerous Convenience Store and Season 2 of I Raised a Black Dragon and new series such as A Morning Kiss at Tiffany’s and Fly Me to the Moon.

Here’s a list of what readers can look forward to:

Whispers Through the Willows, Season 2

Originally a novel written by Moscareto (The New Employee) with art by sue, Whispers Through the Willows is a BL webcomic set in the alpha/beta/omega universe. The story follows prince Ryeok Lee, an alpha, who has to deal with rumours and stereotypes especially ones on how he’s a nymphomaniac. Suddenly, he’s offered a proposal on an arranged marriage between him and the omega son of Jodong Pharma which will benefit both sides. Little does he know that Sangyul Han is hiding a secret.

The first episode of Whispers Through the Willows‘s second season released on Jan. 12, with updates every 3rd, 13th and 23rd of the month.

A Morning Kiss at Tiffany’s

A Morning Kiss at Tiffany’s is a romance webcomic, written by Soohyun Jung with illustrations by Seulgi Lee. The story revolves around Hari Yoo who owns a Tiffany-blue building in Cheongdam until her first love Eunho Cha arrives at her doorstep with an eviction notice, demanding that she move out. The glamorous life that she once knew of now gone, Hari offers to become his housekeeper.

A Morning Kiss at Tiffany’s released on Jan. 3, with updates every Wednesday.

Ingram’s Lantern

Released on Jan. 14, Ingram’s Lantern is a fantasy webcomic, illustrated by Lychee and based on the original story by Goyo Han, about an ordinary girl and an extraordinary mage. A young girl named Asha meets a black-robed mage named Kiltz who whisks her away from her abusive father. However, their relationship appears to go farther back than Asha realizes.

Tale of the Dragonfellow

On the day of her 16th birthday, Mia Loong helps out a stranger on the street. That night, when her home is besieged by dragons and fire, and in an effort to protect what she has left, Mia attempts to turn into a dragon, thus awakening her dragonblood power. In the process, she nearly loses her life until the stranger from the street saves her by creating a pact. Created by Ileguo Lia, Tale of the Dragonfellow currently has 15 episodes as of this article’s publication.

Tale of the Dragonfellow released its first episode on Jan. 23 with updates every Tuesday.

I Raised a Black Dragon, Season 2

After dying from overwork, Noa wakes up in the body of Eleanora Aiselle, a villainess from a romantic fantasy. Unwilling to get herself wrapped up in drama, Noa ships the little dragon that hatched from an egg off to the capital. In the original novel, the dragon imprints on the heroine and later on kills Eleanora. Unfortunately, or fortunately, the dragon has imprinted on Noa instead. Created by Sottan and based on the original story by Dalseul, I Raised a Black Dragon has 44 episodes from Season 1 released.

The first episode of I Raised a Black Dragon‘s second season released on Jan. 21 with updates every Thursday and a break every five episodes.

The Golden Light of Dawn

Rosha Rostelier, the 777th most powerful magic knight of the Golden Dawn Society, is brought back to life in The Golden Light of Dawn. Her job: to find and protect the Child of God. However, it may turn out the Child of God isn’t the saviour of society as many believe and hope. Written by Seolon Han, the first season of The Golden Light of Dawn consists of 35 episodes.

Season 2 of The Golden Light of Dawn began on Jan. 15 with updates every Monday, in sync with the Korean upload time.

Fly Me to the Moon

Categorized as a romantic fantasy series set in the modern world, Fly Me to the Moon follows a young woman named Jeongyeon who is thrown into the world of the Clansmen, filled with a group of inhuman beings, shortly after her mother’s funeral. Fly Me to the Moon is originally written by Lee SuYong and has since been adapted into a webcomic with Mcat as the writer and Kint as the illustrator.

Fly Me to the Moon releases on Jan. 27.

The Dangerous Convenience Store, Season 3

Uijun has the worst luck with love and his most recent crush has suggested an audacious proposal with him. In a display of vulnerability, Uijun pours his heart out to Geonu, the gangster-looking customer who frequently visits the convenience store where Uijun works at. The Dangerous Convenience Store, written and illustrated by 945, follows the tumultuous relationship between Uijun and Geonu. Season 2 leaves Uijun alone and heartbroken with Geonu nowhere to be found.

Season 3 of The Dangerous Convenience Store will release on Jan. 28.
