Popular BL series given announces a sequel anime film, revealing a teaser PV and teaser visual.
given is receiving a new sequel animated film.
Announced by the official anime account, given released a teaser visual, illustrated by Natsuki Kizu, the mangaka of given, and a promotional video treating fans to a short snippet of one of the production songs. The film will likely focus more on Hiiragi Kashima and Yagi Shizusumi’s relationship.
given premiered in July 2019 on Noitamina and became the first BL series to air on the platform. All four original songs in the anime was composed and performed by Centimillimental where “Fuyu no Hanashi” recently soared past 100 million streams on Spotify. An OAD called Given: Uragawa no Sonzai released in December 2021 as part of the manga’s seventh volume. A sequel film, adapting the second arc of the manga, released in August 2020 with a focus on Haruki and Akihiko’s relationship.
After 10 years, the manga will release its final chapter on March 30, subsequently teasing an important announcement.
