Unintentional Love Story Spin-Off Features High School Love in First Trailer
The Time of Fever, the spin-off of Unintentional Love Story, goes back in time and focuses on Hotae and Donghee’s relationship in high school.
The first trailer for the spin-off television series of Unintentional Love Story has released.
Titled The Time of Fever, the spin-off focuses on Hotae and Donghee’s relationship during their high school days. Hotae, played by Won Taemin, has always had a crush on Donghee, portrayed by Han Dawoo, but their relationship was left ambiguous in the original series. The trailer begins with Donghee asking why Hotae won’t call him hyung. The trailer contains moments of sweetness and angst, interspersed with scenes of Donghee injured, ending with Hotae calling Donghee hyung and asking him to teach him, most likely how to kiss.
No. 3 Pictures, the production company behind Unintentional Love Story, announced a spin-off in June 2023, due to the positive reception from fans and the high rankings it garnered on iQIYI and Japan’s Rakuten Viki.
Adapted from PIBI’s manhwa, Unintentional Love Story received a dramatized adaptation premiering on March 17. After Ji Wonyoung, played by B1A4 Gong Chan, gets unfairly fired from his job, he decides to take a trip for a change of scenery. That choice ends up being the best decision he has ever made because he accidentally chances upon Yoon Taejun, played by Cha Seowon, a potter who virtually disappeared from society and who happens to be the chairman’s favourite potter. Wonyoung decides to weave an elaborate lie in the hopes he may get his job back but he gets more than he bargains for when he falls in love with Taejun.
Unintentional Love Story is available for global fans to watch on iQIYI. The manhwa is available on Lezhin Comics. The Time of Fever has not announced a release date as of this article’s publishing.
