Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary Announces Anime Adaptation
The Shōshimin novel series receives an anime adaptation that will premiere in July 2024.
The mystery novel series Shōshimin, written by Honobu Yonezawa, will be adapted into an anime series.
The Shōshimin novel series, translated to How to Become Ordinary in English, has dropped a PV and new key visual to commemorate the announcement. The anime will adapt two novels from the series, “The Case of the Springtime Limited-Edition Strawberry Tart” and “The Case of the Summertime Limited-Edition Tropical Parfait.”
The anime will feature a reunion of sorts between several The Promised Neverland cast with Mamoru Kanbe directing, Toshiya Ono as the series scriptwriter, and Takahiro Obata composing. Atsushi Saitō will design the characters. Studio Lapin will animate and produce. Shūichirō Umeda (Akira Tendo in Zom 100) will voice Jōgorō Kobata and Hina Yomiya (Anna Yamada in The Dangers In My Heart) will voice Yuki Osanai.
Written by Honobu Yonezawa, the story revolves around two individuals named Jōgorō Kobata and Yuki Osanai who wish to live peaceful, ordinary lives. However, it seems a lot more challenging to achieve that dream when they seem to find themselves at the centre of mysteries and disasters. The Shōshimin novel series released “The Case of the Springtime Limited-Edition Strawberry Tart” and “The Case of the Summertime Limited-Edition Tropical Parfait” in December 2004 and April 2006, respectively and will release its latest novel “The Case of the Wintertime Limited-Edition Chocolate Bonbons” in late April.
Shōshimin premieres in July 2024.
