To Be Hero X Unveils New Heroic PV with a Snap

A new PV for To Be Hero X has been released, giving fans a sneak peek to the ten main heroes.

To Be Hero X has dropped a new visual and PV, further hyping up fans for the donghua that will combine 2D and 3D animation.

At Bilibili’s “Anime Made by Bilibili 2023 – 2024” conference, a new PV for To Be Hero X has been revealed. The mesmerizing PV introduces various new character, including a young child rescued from a pile of rubble. Coupled with music composed by Hiroyuki Sawano, who is most well known for his music scores for Attack on Titan, X snaps his fingers and every snap switches to a different scene and in a different animation style than the one before. The PV reads “Born in ashes, heroes I shall redefine.” To Be Hero X also released a new visual showcasing X at the forefront, surrounded by the rest of the nine heroes.

A joint production between Bilibili (China) and Aniplex (Japan), To Be Hero X will be directed by Li Haoling (director of Link Click). BeDream will oversee the animation and production. Most notably, To Be Hero X has captured fans’ attention with its seamless transitions between 2D and 3D animation.

To Be Hero X follows a hero named simply as X who participates in a competition where other heroes seek to dethrone him. In previous PVs, it was hinted that heroes gain more power through people’s belief or faith in them.

No release date has been announced yet for To Be Hero X. Crunchyroll will distribute the series when it airs.
